Finest food, helpful staff members, always great ambience. They charge affordable pricing and the food quality is excellent. I recommend this place.

In my opinion, this place has the best Chinese food. My wife and I have been here a couple of times, and we’ve tried their pork fried dumplings, the cashew chicken, and the sesame chicken. The first thing that I really like is that Joyful House uses white meat chicken in their dishes instead of chicken thighs. Second, their sauces are flavorful and not too soupy, plus they don’t congeal when refrigerated. At a lot of Chinese restaurants the sauces turn into a sort of gelatin when you go to eat the leftovers. The dumplings had a thick wrap on them and were perfectly pan fried to a golden brown. They don’t stuff their dumplings with cabbage and other cheap fillers, it’s just a ball of pork inside. I’ve tried a lot of Chinese restaurants between Jackson and West Bloomfield, and Joyful House is definitely the best one I’ve been to. The only other place that I thought was near as good was The Great Wall in Farmington, but they’ve been closed for about 15 years.

Better than the other American style Chinese restaurants within 10 miles. The Kung Pao is spicy, and I mean that. The Hunan beef was tender and flavorful. The hot and sour soup was hot and sour. I travel out of my way to get carry out from here.

Hands down best chinese food in the area. Eggroll and spingrolls were flavorful and not oily. Asked for the schechuan pork (very spicy) and it was exceptional. Small quaint place but great for pick up or delivery. Fortune cookie was accurate....

Fast service, nice people but not much flavor in the dishes that we sampled.
